Arkitextures of Dhaka
Construction on Lalbagh Fort began in 1678 but was never completed. This rose-colored Mughal complex now serves three purposes: It is a major tourist destination, a fine example of Mughal architecture. and a social meeting spot for Bangladeshis (think dates and lunches)!

Local schoolgirls stopped us and asked permission to practice their English. Lalbagh Fort will always remind me of the friendliness of those schoolgirls! Go around lunchtime and experience its park-like and friendly atmosphere. Schedule extra time to stop and smell the rose-colored atmosphere.
