Lake Minnewanka
Leaving from the centre of the town of Banff, driving the Lake Minnewanka loop only takes about an hour but numerous stops and viewpoints along the way make it 25km the side trip worth taking. Stop at Two Jack Lake and, the namesake, Lake Minnewanka, the largest lake in the Banff National Park. Views of Cascade Mountain along the way are spectacular and wildlife sightings are common. Keen cyclists comfortable with traffic can tackle the Lake Minnewanka loop for a perfect, easy afternoon ride.
