Lake Louise
Lake Louise is the most visited spot in the Canadian Rockies so be prepared for crowds but know the landscape is a must see. As the shorter blue-green wavelengths of lights refract off tiny particles that remain suspended in the lakes glacial feed waters, its color changes from an opaque, cloudy turquoise to a crystal clear emerald green depending on how much sunlight hits the lake. This effect in combination with the backdrop of Mount Lefroy and Mount Victoria, both capped with glaciers make up a breathtakingly symmetrical scene. A paved path running along one side of the lake allows you to walk to the back of the lake in as little as 30 minutes.
