Laguna de Guanaroca
One of the most popular attractions in Cienfuegos, Laguna de Guanaroca sits to the southeast of the city, off the Bahía de Cienfuegos. The lake has a wildlife sanctuary that’s home to a variety of flora and fauna, including a number of seabirds. Its most famous residents, however, are its flamingos, which can be witnessed at close range by rowing out in a kayak into the refuge with a guide. Be sure to bring a camera to record memories of your visit—and these pink-feathered residents.
