La Rotonda - Waterfront Walkway
It was a hot summer day as we were walking along the Malecón (wharf) to pay a visit to Simón Bolívar and José de San Martín at La Rotonda which is a historical monument that can be found on the waterfront walkway in Guayaquil, Ecuador's largest city.

This monument commemorates the secret meeting between the the two in July 1822 when it was decided that Guayaquil be annexed to what was then known as Gran Colombia and is today the countries of Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.
