At this Michelin-starred restaurant, food is a performance art and the results deserve a standing ovation. That said, this is Prague, so although the food, service and presentation is comparable to other first-class dining experiences in Europe, the vibe isn’t stuffy. So breathe, sit back and enjoy. All items, made from ingredients sourced from local producers, are based on the recipes penned by Marie B. Svobodová in her 19th-century cookbook. The option is six or eleven small plate courses. You can pair them with wine, juices or beer. Amuse bouches arrive in between. La Degustation, as it's referred, doesn’t skip a beat. As they say, “Your dining experience is the purpose of our life.”

The most impressive meal of my life
Let me just say up front: We are foodies, but are not the type to spend half our rent on a single meal when we could eat something just as delicious at a taco truck or back alley bakery. For some reason, this place just spoke to us when planning our trip to Prague, so we took the plunge for the most extravagant dinner we'd ever had - and ended up with the best meal of our lives. The food was beautiful, delicious and inventive, down to the multiple amuse-bouches that arrived between courses. The wine pairings were so perfect, it was hard to believe they were not specifically made for each other. The staff was the most attentive, thorough and kind I had ever experienced. All this, and not an ounce of pretentiousness. The open kitchen to watch the magic happen only added to its surprisingly laid-back, foodie vibe. If you are in Prague and looking for a life-changing meal, this is your place!
