A consistent winner in most local foodie awards, Silvermist wine estate's restaurant is full of surprises. Owner Scot Kirton and head chef James Kaag lay on a cornucopia of fantastic dishes. One item alone out of many you will be served for the gourmand lunch is seared scallop, char siu pork belly, cauliflower, apple and black forest ham velouté. The restaurant community is abuzz with news that a sister restaurant, La Petite Colombe, will open in late 2017 in the space recently vacated by the award-winning Tasting Room in Franschhoek.
