La Centrale Italian Food Hall Opens at Miami's Brickell City CentreMiami has evolved in the last five years, especially the city's urban Brickell neighborhood with the opening of Brickell City Centre, a large open-air retail mall with futuristic design, high-end shopping and the EAST hotel, all easily within reach of each other. Most recently, locals have been counting down the days until La Centrale, a 3-level Italian food hall, opened its doors.
La Centrale is made up of 14 different Italian eateries and five bars, totaling at more than 600 seats. Dining options include grab-and-go food counters, casual outlets. a retail market and upscale spots for dinner. Each dining outlet was inspired by 20 prominent food regions of Italy, including Tuscany, Liguria, Sardinia, Sicily, Lombardy and Apulia.
On the first floor, is Pizza E Pasta, serving up carb-loaded Italian favorites, including a truffle pasta that you'll want to take home - and you can as it's handmade each day and sold with recipes. The first level also serves coffee, ideal for Brickell's busy office workers located in the area. Finally, Mercato's grab-and-go counters eleviate crowds, offering hot meals for those on the run.
Level two includes the signature Aperitivo Bar and a chocolate and gelato bar by Italy’s celebrated chocolatier, Venchi. In addition there's a fish and meat market, and cheese heaven, serving house-made mozzarella and other savory favorites.
Finally, sophisticated diners head to the third floor for multi-course tastings with wine pairings by the house sommelier. Enoteca immerses diners in Tuscany's wineries with 30 wines by the glass and a menu of small bites, in addition to a pre-fixe menu.
In a city filled with culture, La Centrale adds even more flavor to Miami's evolving palate. As more visitors head to Brickell during their trips to Miami, the Italian food hall is a must-do to experience a larger-than-life meal and peak into the mind of celebrity chefs across the pond.
