Strolling around the Alhambra
After finishing the walk through the palace, you emerge in a little garden area where you can find some shade while you decide whether you want to head off to the Generalife or visit the alcazaba next. Either way, it's a great place to find some shade, have some water and take a breather.

I was recently on a trip to Granada for work and had only one day to tour the city. First thing in the morning I took the hike up to the Alhambra. The complexity of the design and details in all of the buildings is truly remarkable. I spent hours wandering around the grounds and admiring the structures. A friend who lives in the town informed me that the buildings were abandoned for years and taken care of by a gypsy family. I'm not sure how accurate that is but those people were lucky to live in such an amazing place.
