Don’t miss the waters cascading from a height of 120 meters at the dramatic Kvinnefossen near Hella. If the water flow is just right, it is said that the falls take on the shape of a woman. (Kvinne is the Norwegian word for "woman.") According to another tale, the waterfall received its name after a young woman drowned here. Whatever the true source of its name, this dramatic waterfall is best admired from the fjord where it's easiest to appreciate its shape and scale.
