The Kunsthal sits at the southern end of Museumpark and hosts major temporary exhibitions on art and design. The huge boxlike Kunsthal, which consists of several different interconnected platformlike gallery spaces, was designed by renowned architect Rem Koolhaas. There is no permanent collection, though the temporary exhibits typically draw large crowds and range from avant-garde art to shows by popular artists.
