The traditional Kiwi Rural Show
Traditional agricultural shows are a delight to go to in New Zealand
, and the one held in Kumeu every March is a prime example. Hosted by the Kumeu District Agricultural & Horticultural Society, it's a chance to see what rural life is like, with everything from World Champion Axe men to Highland Dancing to Shearing Demonstrations - and animals galore including sheep (of course), cattle, ponies, alpacas, goats and even guinea pigs! This is local Kiwiana at its best.
