Falling within the boundary of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint National Park, and 16 kilometers (10 miles) south of Sarandë, the village of Ksamil is famous for its fine coves and beaches with clear blue waters (it's packed in summer). For non–beach types, the town is also a fine getaway with cafés and restaurants that face a series of small, rugged islets—and Greek Corfu just across the strait.
