“My mom used to go to Kortvaruboden, in Mariehamn, for Marimekko fabrics, 45 years ago. The women who run it have been here since then. They’re always friendly and have good prices,” says Lotta Jansdotter, a designer who has spent her summers in Åland since she was a little girl.
