Koper Regional Museum

Housed in the 17th-century Belgramoni-Tacco Palace in Koper’s Old City, this museum, which was founded in 1911, showcases the culture, art and history of the Primorska region on the Istrian Peninsula, from its prehistory to the end of the 19th century. You can view a wealth of Venetian sculpture dating from the late 1500s, a vast collection of weapons and musical instruments, and important Renaissance paintings, sculpture and furnishings. There’s also a lovely garden dotted with ancient columns and capitals.
