The past and the present collide at Klosterneuburg Abbey. On the one hand, the monestary's opulent baroque architecture takes you back into a more majestic time, allowing you to immerse yourself in the traditions and culture of Austria's spiritual instiutions. And yet, the abbey all but dwells on its past. As Austria's oldest and largest winery, you might find it surprising that it is also the country's first carbon neutral wine producer. This is just one of the many ways in which tradition and innovation are reconciled in Klosterneuburg. Especially exciting are the many cultural events that the monestary hosts. Watching an opera, or seeing an art exhibition with this gorgeous backdrop is an unforgettable experience.
