I don’t consider myself an outdoors man. I love to travel, but I usually stick to cities and beginner trails so when I decided to do a 9 hour horse trek to the glacial lake Kul-Ukok near the small city of Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan; I was biting off a little more then I was could chew. But it ended up being the perfect adventure. I learned to control the horse, got over my fear of heights and was surrounded by some of the most beautiful nature I have seen in the world. The biggest realization was this is the Steppe, Asian nations were terrified of this land for centuries. Rightfully so....pity they could not get as close to it as I did on this adventure!
Thanks to CBT Kyrgyzstan for setting up the trip: http://cbtkyrgyzstan.kg/
