As soon as you walk into King Yoga, a positive, euphoric energy hits you. This isn't one of those pretentious yoga places where you feel out of place if you don’t meditate for an hour a day. It's quite the opposite, in fact. King Yoga, which mostly focuses on vinyasa flow, is still a very traditional yoga studio, but with an important twist: the music. During class, you'll flow to the tunes of rap and jam bands like Phish, along with traditional yogi music. It might seem unusual to listen to mainstream music, but Aaron, the owner and one of the instructors, will just tell you, “If you don’t like what's playing, channel that into your practice and use it.” All of the instructors are charismatic and kind. Their teaching style and extensive knowledge of their craft will get you hooked.
