While my latest adventure had taken my partner and I to Paris, Berlin and Helsinki, it was Reykjavik that took the prize. I city that lives in the moment and is completely connected to life, nature, and above all the land. The "eat, drink, and be merry" sort of attitude kept smiles on our faces and made us always feel welcome. Right before the Airwaves music festival the city was buzzing with preparations and conversations of what would consume the entire city in beautiful music, great food, and unbeatable energy. Yet, that isn't what stays with me. It was the quiet moments when you could look off into the distant at an ancient land and see stoic landscapes over the bay or perhaps the strong yet fragile glaciers in the distance. It was the ability to have a quiet meditation one moment, and have all that life has to offer the next. Beautiful city, beautiful people, and one of the most amazing times I've ever had.
