Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market

1992 Dilworth Dr, Kelowna, BC V1Y 9N4, Canada

Every Saturday in the summer, especially when it is spinning into autumn, the Farmers’ Market is packed with those looking to stock their fridges, pantries and countertops with local ingredients and produce. In recent years cultural diversity has been flavouring the market with spices from Mexico, meat pies from Australia, vegetarian dumplings from Vietnam, samosas and Indian delights from the Samosa Lady and jerk spices from Jamaica. One of the most popular vendors is the Crepe Lady with her sweet and savoury fresh crepes and homemade lemonade. Organic soaps, candles medicinal ingredients from a local emu farm and jewelry can also be found. Depending on the time of the season you can also find popup vendors that only set up for the one day, sometimes two. From chanterelle mushrooms and residents looking to unload their fill of apple, cherry and pear trees from their backyard. This is a must visit when staying in the wine region. The Kelowna Farmers’ Market runs from the first Wednesday of April to the last Wednesday of October and is also held every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm. Wednesday markets are added in May.
