The sheltered waters of Bonefish Lagoon are an ideal place for novices, as well as more experienced kayakers, to explore Half Moon Cay. Rent a two-person kayak and on a guided excursion you’ll get a different perspective on the nature preserve that Holland America Line has created, with up-close looks at the red mangroves along the water’s edge. This excursion is also highly recommended for birders, as the terns, pintails and other species that live on the island are less likely to fly away when you silently float toward them.
