Perfect Day Trip to Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks
Kasha-Katuwe is a stunning hike just 30 minutes from Rancho Gallina on the Turquoise Trail or 45 minutes from Santa Fe. A gorgeous, gradual hike through a red rock slot canyon, punctuated by a steep climb that brings you to the top of the Pajarito Plateau with views of several mountain ranges and the Cochiti Pueblo lands.

The tent rocks that the hike is know for are both comical and spectacular. Take a picnic lunch and eat it in the cool canyon midday in the shoulder season. In the summer you want to get here early before the sun heats the rocks and makes you wish you were back in your air-conditioned car.
