Parisian brasserie fare comes to the French QuarterJames-Beard-Award-winning chef Justin Devillier and his wife, Mia Freiberger-Devillier, opened their third restaurant in early 2019. (They also own La Petit Grocery and Balise.) Their new venture occupies a sprawling grand-hall-style space not like most intimate French Quarter boites — its big enough to leave you looking for the floucy floor show and a sad-eyed Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Their aim was to bring classical French fare and culinary traditions to a city with roots in French cuisine, yet which has surprisingly been short of brasserie-style offerings. Looks for time-honored dishes featuring escargot, oysters and braised lamb shank. Cheese is offered both soft and softer — atop an aromatic French onion soup, and via raclette served warm tableside.
