Jostedal Glacier National Park (Jostedalsbreen National Park)
Part of the mountainous spine that holds Norway
together, the 1,310-square-kilometer (506-square-mile) Jostedal Glacier National Park is quite simply a nature lover’s dream. This spectacle of mountains, forests and rivers was shaped by glacial erosion over millions of years. The park draws several hundred thousand enthusiasts every year to take in the great outdoors or hike the glacier. The glacial valleys are home to brown bear, elk, red deer and fox while trout are plentiful in the rivers.
