There is a tiny treasure of a restaurant on a cobbled corner of Bermondsey Street. A tapas bar reminiscent of the bars in Barcelona. The tapas is excellent. The wine and sherry list solid. There isn’t a day or hour when happy customers aren’t filling every space at Jose’s beautiful, tiled bar or lined up along the big windows overlooking buzzy Bermondsey Street.
What to choose from the menu?. The delicious croquetas? The chorizo iberico? Definitely. A few more plates more to share? Of course. The daily menu changes according to what's fresh in the market or what Jose's talented chefs decide to create in the kitchen.
Tip: The bar is small and can be crowded at peak times, so get there early if you want a seat.
