Marché Jean Talon's Best Bakery
The chestnut loaf is baked with apples and walnuts and then coated in a poppy seed crust. Le Châtaigne is my new favorite at Joe La Croûte, a tiny fragrant bakery on Jean Talon Market's perimeter in the heart of Montreal
's Little Italy. Then again, the crusty buns made with olive tapenade, candied orange rind, olive oil and sea salt weren't half bad either, especially when smothered in Roquefort. Sharp, sweet, and savoureux!
