J.O. Hanthorn Bumble Bee Cannery Museum

Take a free self-guided tour of this wonderful time capsule—a great glimpse into the biggest industry of Astoria’s past. It’s out on a pier, across a creaky one-lane bridge from Marine Drive and the Astoria Riverwalk. In the old wooden cannery buildings, you’ll find fishing boats, vintage machinery and simple, evocative exhibits. On the same pier, grab a snack at Coffee Girl or the atmospheric Rogue Ales brewpub in the former workers’ canteen. You might even spot sea lions!
