Jewish Museum Vienna

Jewish Museum Vienna
If you had been to the Jewish Museum Vienna 7 years ago, you would notice the fantastic change it has undergone since its new director, Danielle Spera, has been at the helm.

You will find a lot of honesty and transparency about Jewish history in Vienna there, but also a lot of optimism and forward looking, thanks to the thriving Jewish community nowadays.

Expect beautiful relics of Jewish community life, alongside sad pieces of Nazi Austria, and some shocking antisemitic objects of the 19th/20th century. While I was there, a class of school children were given a lecture with a blue plush torah, lovely.
