Indonesian Boys Fishing at Low Tide
We had no idea how friendly the people would be in Indonesia. Everywhere we went, a cacophony of "Hello Misters!" and giant smiles followed us. We were on a surf trip exploring Southern Sumatra when we came across these boys as they were fishing in the reef at low tide. They had these tiny sticks with a rubber band on the end and they would stalk tiny fish, lasso them with the band, then tighten it to keep the fish. It was hard to tell if they were fishing for food, or just goofing off like young boys do.
