Jaipur is the capital of the state of Rajasthan and a cultural hub of the region. The place has wonderfully preserved and restored forts, vibrant markets and a deliciously active food scene. The clothes are colorful and the music even more so. It a must visit on your trip to the region.
Visit the the largest stone sun dial at the UNESCO Heritage site of Jantar Mantar , stay in an actual palace, explore the wonderfully restored Amer fort or have a mindblowing sunset experience in a restaurant amidst fort ruins over looking the Jaipur city. If that doesn't sate your experience quota for the day, you can always head over to polish off some fabulous Kachoris (a savoury deep fried dish) or a wholesome Rajasthani Meal in Dal Bati Churma which is a roundel of wheat flour served with lentil curry and accompanied with a sweat dish made of crushed flour, jaggery and ghee all mixed together. All this and more at LMB.
