Going back in time
When pulling that travel trailer through Amarillo, be sure to visit the Jack Sisemore RV museum. This is the perfect stop for all of you hard core road trippers. Free and open to the public, this collection of Rv's goes back to the 1930's and the motorcycle collection really brought back memories for me. Especially the late 1960's Bultaco dirt bikes. I really enjoyed exploring the older trailers and Rv's to see how people who love to camp and travel did it back in the day. This is a private collection that has been acquired over many years by travels across the country far and wide. It may be a bit off of the beaten path, but if you need parts, service or just want to see something new, give it a try. Oh and don't miss the window mounted air conditioner for the driver in an old sedan parked at the Standard Oil Company gas station inside, it's something I never knew existed. very cool, sorry I couldn't resist. *Please Note I attempted to get Google maps to give the correct address, but couldn't, the correct address is 4341 Canyon Drive, it is also listed on their website with all other up to date information.
