Insigne y Nacional Basílica de Santa María de Guadalupe

Our Lady of Guadalupe
It is said that in Mexico, even atheists are guadalupanos, that is, they believe in the Virgin of Guadalupe. That is why this is one of the “must see” attractions of the city.

On December 12, there is a national pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, built on the spot where, believers say, Virgin Mary appeared before humble Aztec Juan Diego. On 2012, around 20, 000 believers flocked to the place.
