SJD: Last-Minute Shopping in Cabo San Lucas Airport
I never want to leave Mexico. I could shop the local markets all day long, picking up fresh food, trying new flavors, and buying little trinkets. Even if there isn't any room left over in my carry-on, by the time I get to the airport I'll check out the airport shops, looking for that last little something for someone. Sure, Duty Free is nice for the typical booze and liquor, but today Indita Mia, in the newly remodeled and modernized Los Cabos airport, draws me in with its magenta, turquoise, and yellow painted walls, silver light fixtures, and papier mache dolls.
I wanted one of everything they had on display, especially a pair of those light fixtures, but I would have to wait for "next time." Indita Mia succeeded in making a customer out of me, since I managed to fit a few bottles of fresh vanilla bean into my already full handbag.
