Housed in a former art gallery on a sleepier stretch of Gladstone Avenue but close to the action of both the West Queen West and Parkdale neighborhoods, this family-run B&B offers affordable rooms and minimal amenities. Art is displayed throughout the hotel, and in the main-floor gallery space not only can you purchase art, you can have breakfast too. With much to do in the area, this is a well-located hub from which to discover the best of Toronto.

IndexG B&B sits in the heart of West Queen West, near the Ossington strip, and just east of Parkdale, home to Toronto’s best restaurants, bars, shops, and art galleries. The B&B is next-door to furniture shop Pavillon. A grocery store, Fresh Co., is across the street. Head to Parkdale for dining out. You can’t go wrong with Grand Electric for fish tacos, or its sister restaurant Electric Mud BBQ especially for $2.50 pints on Monday nights. If you restaurant hop, there’s Chantecler and Porzia. For day bites, try Bolt for your healthy jolt, or Feel Good Guru near Trinity Bellwoods. Capital Espresso and the Tempered Room are ideal café haunts.
