Welcome to the city of bicycle love
Bring your bike helmet with you the next time you visit Philadelphia so you're ready to ride Indego around town. That's right, Philly finally has a bike share program to call its own, with sponsorship from Independence Blue Cross, hence the name Indego. Bright blue bikes and matching docking stations now dot the city, with more on the way. Those planning to ride can confirm bike availability online. Both cash and credit cards are accepted at the pay stations. When paying per trip without a membership, a one-half hour ride will cost $4. With over 400 miles of on-street bike lanes and several scenic off-street paths adjacent to the riverfront, Philly definitely qualifies as a bike-friendly city. Check out the rental guidelines online first and don't ride your Indego bike outside of the city limits. Happy trails!
