The Vegas cocktail scene has come a long way from martinis and manhattans. Creative mixologists and internationally-infused drinks have made imbibing in Sin City a lot more modern and a little more grown up.
On the roof of The Cosmopolitan, which embodies the millennial iteration of Vegas swagger, is the seasonal Ice Rink and bar. (Yes, an ice rink in the desert that you can skate on.) Cleverly-named holiday drinks served both rink-side and pool-side include Egg Noggy Nog, The Griswold and The Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin's character in "Home Alone").
My favorite was the delightfully strong Campfire Delight, made with chocolate liqueur, tequila, horchata, rum, cream and marshmallow syrup served in a Sinatra-era martini glass with a graham cracker rim and a toasted marshmallow garnish.
