Hula Grill Waikiki

2335 Kalakaua Ave Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Honolulu, HI 96815, USA

For me, ceviche is a mandatory menu item: if I see it on the menu, that’s what I’m having. I was a little hesitant about “Polynesian-style ceviche” at the Hula Grill, but ordered anyway. I shouldn’t have worried: it turned out to be a magnificent martini glass full of coconut-and-lime-juice-cured ahi tuna chunks, with taro and sweet potato chips for scooping. The oceanfront bar’s happy hour (4-6 p.m. daily) is a screaming bargain, especially the generous $6 Pa’ina Punch and $7 mai tais. Grab a table facing the beach and enjoy a stunning view as you sip a tropical cocktail... or three.
