Fish and chips from Hout Bay harbour is a Cape Town family tradition going back generations and the recipe hasn´t changed in living memory. Fresh fish battered and deep fried served with hot chips doused in salt and vinegar, just the way they´ve always been made. Wash it down with a cold beer, you then feed your leftovers to the squabbling seagulls outside and take a walk along the harbour wall to help with the digestion... ah, this is what weekends are made of.
