Where the world changed forever
I find it amazing how things change. Before that fateful day on August 6th, 1945 the world was a different place completely in the minds of citizens of the world. Man had always found new and improved ways of killing each other throughout history, but at 8:15 a.m., the United States dropped the first atomic bomb ever and unfortunately for the people of Hiroshima, it was on their city.

Today the city has a Peace Museum, a Peace Memorial and a Peace Park because they know what suffering is all about. In the background of the photo is the remains of the city's commercial center, now known as the A-Bomb Dome. The bomb detonated over this building and although everybody was killed immediately in it and for miles and miles around, some of the building survived.
