The Palomar is part of the Kimpton hotel chain and is located in a gorgeous landmark Art Deco building on South 17th Street in Center City Philadelphia. I learned from friends who visited recently that they chose the hotel because of its complimentary fitness room and they spoke highly of the hotel and its staff. I know the Palomar is pet-friendly because the hotel hosts a fun holiday event for dogs every December. The location is super-premium – within a short walk are Rittenhouse Square, the Shops at Liberty Place and Walnut Street’s endless boutiques. The hotel’s restaurant, Square 1682, serves contemporary American cuisine and is a hot spot on Philly’s restaurant scene.

Pet-Friendly Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia
It's good to be Queen Bea (as in Beatrix) shown here stepping out of the bathroom in the Palomar's Presidential Suite. Set in a stunning Art Deco building, the Palomar has fun in the public rooms starting with the three busts of Benjamin Franklin colored in red, blue, and green that greet you at check-in. But unlike some hotels that take fun over-the-top, the Palomar's guest rooms are pure elegance ... with luxe fabrics, marble spa tubs, and sensational city views. When you're ready for more fun, you and your pet are both welcome at the hotel's nightly wine (and dog treat) reception.
