I started my Tuscan vacation with a villa in the heart of the rolling, green hills. I ended it with a stay at the beautiful riverside Hotel Lungarno. Really, no way I could complain!
The Lungarno is very close to Ponte Vecchio on a small side street with views of the river and historic Firenze from every area of the lobby, bar and breakfast room. It's a serene property with my favorites, Acqua Panna and S. Pellegrino, available every morning alongside an extensive buffet breakfast and made-to-order coffee in any style you prefer. Healthy options such as fruit and granola were always laid out but more standard fair was also available by placing an order.
Though my room was a touch on the small side, not unusual for anywhere in Europe, it was well appointed and felt oh-so-comfortable after long days shopping and sightseeing in the city.
The best part was how convenient it was to everything I wanted to see!
