Home of Napoleon Bonaparte
Just imagine the scenes and conversations that took place centuries ago at Casa Bonaparte, where Napoleon came into the world in August 1769. Today a national museum, the general’s birthplace displays period furnishings and artifacts that reflect the tastes and manners of his age. The house stayed in the family until the 1920s, though after his 1799 Egypt campaign, Napoleon never again set foot in his ancestral home.
