On this 13-day journey, you’ll get to delve into Vietnam’s coastal culture, spending nearly 11 days sailing up the eastern coast. After a day and night exploring Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll leave the buzzing scooters behind for a peaceful sail up the Mekong River, stopping for visits to villages, markets, and notable sites. Learn about the ancient Champa culture in Qui Nhon, relax on My Khe beach in Da Nang, and marvel at the limestone caves and grottos in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, set in the protected Truong Son limestone zone. After a day exploring some of the islands of the Cat Ba Archipelago, in famous Ha Long Bay, it’s time to say goodbye to Vietnam, and hello to China, where you’ll travel by train from Shenzhen to the forests of Guilin, before disembarking in glittering Hong Kong.
