Nested between the cliffs of the Lovrijenac (the Dubrovnik Castle) and the American College of Management and Technology (yes, that one) is a beach that everybody misses in their attempts to find the best spot in Dubrovnik to catch some rays.
Sure there may be concrete embankments at the actual waterline, but these quickly give way to cliff faces and deep water that makes for amazing cliff diving, even for those that don't need 20-foot leaps to feel cool.
Make your way down a series of staircases from the main road Ulica Dubrovnika and the alley Od Tabakarije and you'll pop out on this ridiculously sunny, ridiculously hidden, ridiculously unpopulated beach.
The water is emerald and clean, the rocks are majestic and there are opportunities to test your meddle by jumping from the cliffs.
Difficult to find, and to this day its actual name is lost to me, but with some adventuring this free and little known public beach will make you glad you looked.
Bring your swimwear, a towel to sit on and your cliffjumping skills.
