Helsinki Cathedral
Completed in 1852, the Helsinki Cathedral is a gleaming neoclassical icon situated at the top of a grand flight of stairs in the middle of Senate Square. Designed by Carl Ludvig Engel, the central dome rests on a towering templelike colonnade that’s visible from just about anywhere in the city.
