Not many villages in the world have a centerpiece as eye-catching as Hellesylt’s: Sandwiched between two bridges in the center of the village is a magnificent waterfall that splits the community in two. Take in the view from the bridges or move in for a closer look to feel the raw natural power of the water as it tumbles down the granite and into the fjord beneath your feet. The cascade is at its most fierce in the early summer when melting snow from the surrounding mountains swells the flow.
