Haulover Beach Park truly has something to offer for any kind of beach goer. The beach runs two miles along the Atlantic. The water is always very clear and very warm in the summer. There are very photogenic lifeguard stands that are a popular spot for Instagram photos, especially if locals are selling fresh coconuts upon entry.
The beach has a dog run, which is one of the few beaches that allow you to have the dog off leash in Miami. During late summer you'll see surfers trying to catch waves on along the coast.
The area is also popular for families as there are rental options for beach chairs and umbrellas during the day. Occasionally there are family workshops and community picnics that post up on the outdoor tables on the west side of the park.
The most unique part of Haulover Beach is the clothing-optional section of the beach. While some may think of Miami's notorious party vibe at a nude beach, it's actually quite relaxing and non-pretentious. While it may not be for those who are a bit shy, there's something freeing about stripping down and going for a swim!
