Harvest Moon Grille

Local, Seasonal, Sustainable Food in Uptown
Everything on your table at Harvest Moon Grille is sourced from within 100 miles of Charlotte. This is what you could call a Farmer-to-Fork restaurant. Chef/owner Cassie Parsons is also the owner of Grateful Growers Farm, located in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Cassie, a major advocate for eating locally, was named Restaurateur of the Year in 2011 by Charlotte Magazine.

I have been enjoying a brunch of eggs over easy, house cured bacon, locally milled grits, and biscuit (with a mimosa, of course) at Harvest Moon since its inception, but today was the first time I decided to branch out and try the lunch menu. I asked my server what her favorite item on the menu was and she immediately replied, "the fish tacos." So that's what I went with, and I must say these tacos can easily rival those of any West Coast taco joint. Fried North Carolina catfish with Sriracha mayo, cilantro slaw and salsa on flour tortillas with a side of green beans, red & yellow grape tomatoes, almonds and walnuts. A glass of Sauvignon Blanc went beautifully with this meal. Branching out has never been more rewarding.
