If you're caught at Harbour Town Marina in the morning, when seafood is likely not an option, head over to the Harbour Town Bakery and Cafe, located across from the playground. Pastries are made fresh daily on-site, and the place has a great selection of traditional breakfast and lunch foods such as homemade soups and delicious banana walnut pancakes. I highly recommend trying the Southern breakfast.
Even if you've already had breakfast or lunch, stop by for coffee to at least check out the building. It was constructed in the 1800s and used to be the lighthouse keeper's cottage.
Be careful, though, because the cafe closes promptly at 2:30 p.m.
The moment you walk out into the marina at Harbour Town, you'll see H.H.I.'s iconic landmark and Sea Pines mascot looming over you. The lighthouse has a museum and a shop as well as an observation deck that lets you look out over the vast ocean.
There is also a restaurant located beneath the lighthouse called the Quarterdeck, which has wonderful outside seating right on the marina.
