The World's Oldest Toy Store
Nothing quite prepares you for the squeaking, bleeping and whizzing you’ll encounter at Hamleys. As you enter the store and make your way up the central escalators serving its seven floors, it’s likely some semblance of a modern toy-slash-gadget will circle overhead, and you’ll be met by staff-entertainers at every turn. Founded in 1760, the world’s oldest toy store moved to its current home in Regent Street in 1881 while Queen Victoria was on the throne. Understandably the stock has moved on from the original displays of rag dolls and tin soldiers, but one thing remains: the number of children goggling wide-eyed at the seemingly endless choice.

Christmas In London: Shopping Paradise!
London is an amazing place to be during Christmas. You can go shopping for amazing Christmas gifts, yummy food and chocolates in the many different shops on Regent street and Oxford street, the longest shopping street in Europe! I you like buying nice things and spending Christmas in a very romantic, beautiful city, don't hesitate and book your ticket to London. Once there, you can use the tube or buses, but it can be very busy. Catching a taxi with Gett is also a good idea, as is booking a parking space with Yourparkingspace.co.uk if you're driving. Finally, I recommend having tea at Fortnum and Mason, visiting the Hamleys toy store if you have kids, or ice skating in Canary Wharf! London really is a great city for the whole family to laugh and have fun.
